Here is the local conservation officer taken our picture for the paper. He spent an hour with us posing the deer and helping us hang them!! What an awesome experience!!!

DEER CAMP TIME

Another thing that comes this time of year is what I call deer camp. That count down is here. Now deer camp can be held many different places. I have written the definition below.

DEER CAMP- Where two or more people meet during hunting season to hunt and or discuss hunting.

Deer camp need not involve a sleep over at a specified camp, just the criteria above. I have satrted of the year on a good note by having a couple deer with in feet of me on my first hunt. I just wasnt ready for them!!!!

Bench Warming

Its seems to me in life that alot of people are bench warmers by nature. As a dissclaimer I am not speaking of anyone specifically that reads this blog. We have lots of ideas and lots of good advice but we never do anything about it. We dream of starting a business or excercising or dieting and then we end up working our same boring jobs eating junk food and sitting on the couch. I am one of them, a bench warmer. And if in that moment we do strive after something we give up and go back to normalcy. Why we ask, why do we do that. ITS COMFORTABLE. I am in my comfort zone and so are most of you. I challenge you to think outside the box and do something you have struggled to do. Not gangbusters for a week but EVERYDAY for a month or year. If we can create new habits we can change our lifestyle. I encourage to follow you dream and dont let anyone steal it. IF YOU AIM FOR NOTHING YOU WILL HIT IT EVERYTIME!!!!!

The Moment of Truth

Well as many of you know I am now engaged to be Married!!! Me and Bec are very excited. I am just glad that her Dad said yes and so did she!!





Here is Reb's just a few minutes before my proposal. Were are sitting on a beautiful bluff over looking Lake Michigan and the Manitou Islands. It was a beautiful night and we had the place all to ourselves!

Heres is Reb's with the Saturday catch achieved by Dan, Bec, and Jeremy. These are 18-22 inch fish.
Heres me holding Reb's big one. These are mostly 6-8lbers. 24- 28inches, a couple 18-20 inches. The one I am holding is 28inches and over 8 lbs! Good job honey!

Well I am back into the blogging world. I am not the best at posting but my goal is one a week. I found that I had alot more time at the Bohemian bachelor pad. Anyway, you see Bec, the beautiful girl above. Shes mine, and I love her alot. More to come on that....but not right now.

I am becoming increasingly concerned with the state of the world. I filled up my truck today and it cost me $56.00. I only have a 17 gallon tank. I just dont understand how the oil industry records record profits and I get stuck holding the bill. God has blessed me so much so I cant complain..... Or can I....

On to better stuff. Heres some past fishing advetures with my new one at detroit river above and more to come.......
